He obtained his master’s and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida under the supervision of Dr. Rey Roque. Before moving to Antwerp, David worked for two years with the Accelerated Pavement Testing Group of the Florida Department of Transportation. His research interests are the characterization of asphalt materials, pushing the envelope for sustainability in the asphalt sector, and pavement health monitoring. He is an active member of ISAP, AAPT, RILEM, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
