Dr. Michael Vrtis is road research project engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation at the Minnesota Road Research Facility (MnROAD). Michael is a registered Engineer in Minnesota and specializes in accelerated pavement testing and in-situ characterization of asphalt concrete materials. Dr. Vrtis received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) at Auburn University and a masters and bachelors degrees from the University of Utah.
