Graduated from the University of Wisconsin with his B.S. and M.S., and from the University of Illinois with his Ph.D.
He worked with Koch Materials Company for two and a half years, and performed a post-doc at Southeast University in Nanjing, China. He is currently a professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas, where he has continued to study asphalt emulsions, pavement maintenance and rehabilitation, and sustainability.
